  We stayed at Milford Sound lodge do were able to do the early cruise to avoid the bus tours that tend to arrive around midday. We were lucky with the weather. Mitre Peak operate a smaller boat but it was not crowded at all. Milford Sound is a stunning place and the cruise was everything and more we could have wished for. The captain gave a running commentary highlighting all the interesting sights. Also a crew member moved around the boat offering more information. Milford Sound is a must do when visiting New Zealand's south island and our Mitre Peak cruise was just a fantastic experience.
